Overview

Comink is a comic and manga reader for Apple TV, iPhone and iPad. It does not provide, index or recommend any content — everything you read comes from servers, cloud drives or files that you set up yourself. This policy explains what data Comink handles and where it goes.

Data We Do Not Collect

We (the developer) do not collect any personal data. Specifically:

No account registration is required
No analytics or tracking SDKs are included
No advertising frameworks are used
No personal information is sold or shared with third parties

Data Stored on Your Devices

Reading progress, favorites and Moments — what you have read, saved and collected
Server and cloud drive credentials — URLs, login details and access tokens for the libraries you connect; stored in the system Keychain where applicable
App preferences — language, reader settings and display options
Translation — text recognition and translation run on your device; page images are not uploaded to us

iCloud Sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, Comink syncs reading progress, settings and Moments between your devices using Apple's iCloud (including your private CloudKit database). This data lives in your own iCloud account. We cannot access it.

Network Connections

Comink connects to external services only for features you use:

Comic servers (Komga, Kavita, OPDS) and network storage (SMB, WebDAV) you add
Cloud drives you sign in to (such as Baidu Netdisk, Aliyun Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox and Box). For some providers, sign-in passes through a small authorization relay operated by us, which exchanges the authorization code for an access token and does not use it for any other purpose
Public metadata services (Bangumi, AniList) when you look up information for a title — only the title is sent
Apple's App Store servers for purchases and subscriptions

Purchases and Subscriptions

Comink offers a one-time lifetime purchase as well as optional monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions (Comink PRO). All payments are processed by Apple. We never see or store your payment information. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.

Children's Privacy

Comink is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
